I run Premium grade (91) in my Jetta, but that's because it's got the 1.8L turbo engine. Otherwise I'd always run the Mid grade (89, 10% ethanol blend) gas in my other cars.

Regular 87 Octane for the Minivan, 90+ Octane for the car.

Car has 10.5:1 static compression, so it does require higher octane fuel. Small price to pay for extra performance.

Regular Grade.

I finally persuaded my room mate that her 1991 Ford Festiva did NOT have to have 89 Octane fuel to run well. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, it runs just the same, and possibly a bit better. I'm going to have to check the mileage next fill (as she didn't give the fill to me.) Then I can post if the MPG has changed or not. (Change was made in the last 90 days.)
